Choose your water

Rivers and lakes in the north of Montenegro. On the rivers, grayling come first and brown trout second. For the fish in each water and when to come, see Fish and seasons.

Rivers

In the fly fishing zones you can fish all year, when the water level allows. The best months on the rivers are June to October.

Tara

The Tara at Kolašin, in Biogradska Gora National Park and at Mojkovac. Mostly grayling. You can fish it on the same day as Biogradsko Lake.

Lakes

The lakes are fished from 1 May to 1 October. After that we fish the rivers.

Plav Lake

A glacial lake under the Prokletije, home of Blatnjača, the lake's own trout. Fished from a boat. You can fish it on the same day as the Ljuča and the Lim.

Your guide

I am Aleksandar Gasevic, and I guide every trip myself. I have competed in fly fishing for more than ten years, with international and national awards, and I have been a member of Montenegro's national team. Competing taught me where the fish are, how to catch them and when, and I bring that to your day. I speak English fluently, so you plan with me directly.
